The Haiti Partnership is Helping Create Sustainability for Haiti!
The Diocese of Eau Claire, in collaboration with the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee, is in Partnership with the Diocese of Haiti and the mission and community of St. Marc’s Episcopal Church and School in Jeannette Haiti. As partners with the people of St. Marc’s Church and School in that remote mountain top village, it is our intent and prayer to help brothers and sisters in Christ realize their dreams for growth and self-sufficiency. We commit to being supportive, and to sharing the needed technical skills and financial resources, as we are able.
We also offer a prayerful presence as, together, we work towards a sustainable community, using the Millennium Development Goals as a guide.

The Learning Continues...
Classes at the School resumed. Many are conducted outside under make shift coverings and tents, though now a few of the classrooms have been deemed safe and are currently being used as well.
-As of June 1, 160 adults, (60 are women), began classes at the Mission’s new Trade School, to learn construction, plumbing, and electrical wiring. Much of the emergency relief money collected in this Diocese and the Diocese of Milwaukee ( unless otherwise specified ) is being used for this new sustainable community endeavor. It is in direct answer to the Council of Wise Persons’ wish list based on the results of their listening sessions in the community.

Less than Fifty-five cents a day Sponsors a child at St. Marc’s School!
If you are not already sponsoring a child at St. Marc’s, we hope you will consider doing so. For less than .55 a day, you can assure that a Haitian child will receive a quality education. Sponsorship is how the School in our Partnership is funded. Education is what is and will continue to evolve sustainable change in Haiti.
The Diocese of Eau Claire currently sponsors 50 children. We would like to double that number by September 1. For $4.78 a week each one of us can make a difference for a lifetime!
